What really stood out to me was Ross's ability to help me in the areas where I wasn’t sufficient. I’m a professional woodworker by trade, so some parts of the conversion were going to be easier for me than others. The part I was struggling with was the electrical. I didn’t really know at all how to set that up. I wanted a refrigerator, a fan, and a water pump, so I had to do all of these calculations to determine what size you need…what size panel, what size battery, and how to wire everything. I took Ross’ Cargo Van Conversion course and purchased a Promaster 2500 in April 2019. Ross helped me install all the windows, add insulation to the factory floor, install the Espar heater, a foldable passenger seat and an entire electrical system using Victron equipment which includes 300 ah lithium battery, 3,000 watt inverter, a 335 watt solar panel and all wiring and controls. He also designed the low-profile solar panel mounting to be fabricated by DIYVan. Through the “install” process, I found Ross to be a craftsman, very accurate in everything he does. He pays attention to details and communicate well. He is also quite available to be reached via email, phone and text for questions and ideas related to van conversion. Overall, I enjoyed the whole experience in converting my van. I would highly recommend Ross Lukeman to one who looks to do a van conversion.
